Hate crime march held Friday
November 18, 2007
Thousands of people, including Rev. Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III, gathered at Freedom Plaza Friday in Washington, to protest against hate crimes. They walked to demonstrate what some are calling a slow or sluggish response to racism and hate crimes.
The group circled the building several times to show its frustration with the federal government. Some in the crowd wore T-shirts that read ‘No Justice, No Peace’ or ‘Enough is Enough.’
‘The message is they are not to allow anyone to discriminate against them, black or white,’ said Washington-area photographer Theodore “Sir” Gaffney, who brougth his two sons to the march.”-nbc4.com
Friday’s march came after the recent incidents of noose hangings found across the country, Jena 6 and the survival of Megan Williams.

It is good to see people come together to march for the same cause. It is time for justice for all not just for a certain group of people.

This was an excellent cause to march for and history was made on this day and the day that people rallied for Jena 6.
